The
Muto Scholarships were established in 1989 to honor the memory of
one of our industry's greatest educational pioneers, Guy A. Muto (1915
-
1989). Guy spent 37 years in the Pool Industry and during that time
was responsible for dramatically increasing the educational opportunities
for Pool and Spa Professionals. When Guy passed away, a scholarship
fund named for Guy was established by the Southern California
Chapter of NSPI. In early 1995, guy's wife Gloria passed away and
the
fund was renamed and incorporated. It is a non-profit public benefit
educational foundation under California law and is not affiliated
with any other Association or Organization. It is our goal to award annual
scholarships to selected applicants for the furtherance of their
educational
and professional goals. Muto Scholarships are open to those employed
full-time in ANY capacity in the Swimming Pool and Spa Industry or
