Sacramento, CA ... The Guy and Gloria Muto Memorial Scholarship
Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the 2005 Scholarship Award Winners.
The foundation awarded a total of
$6,500 to eight scholarships recipients.

Scott Segro of Englewood , Florida.
He is working towards a PhD in Chemistry at University of South
Florida. His Mom is a 5 year vet of the pool industry and is
part of Florida Swim Pool Assoc. Besides many educational honors,
Scott
volunteers in many community organizations helping others.

Ann Becker of West Chester, Ohio is working
towards a Masters in Education at University of Cincinnati. Her
father has
35 years in the pool industry and belongs to Region VI APSP.
She excels in grades and volunteers in several community service
groups.

Sarah Milam of Phoenix, Arizona is pursuing
a major of Accountancy at Arizona State University. Her Dad has
14
years in the pool industry, is a member of APSP, Phoenix chapter.
Sarah has a 3.5 GPA and volunteers by coaching sports teams for
younger
kids, is a bible school leader, and aids groups who feed the homeless.

Hilary Grimes from San Diego, CA is daughter
of Paul who is a member of IPSSA for 15 years. Hilary is studying
History and Creative Writing at Knox College. She excels in grades
and does volunteer work with Calif. Public Interest Research Group
doing hunger cleanup, Sudan & Tsunami relief and the Santa
Barbara Food Bank.

Jared Putman of San Antonio, Texas is working
towards a BA in Youth Ministry at Howard Payne University. His
father works for SCP in Covington, Louisiana for the past 9 years.
However,
he has 21 years in the pool industry. He is validated by So Texas
NSPI (APSP). Jared works for Starbucks part time and helps raise
money
for charity organizations. He has also worked disaster relief programs,
especially to families hurt by flood waters in So. Texas.

Robert Van Scoyoc of Santa Clarita, CA. His
Dad is self employed in the pool industry for 30 years and is a
board member
of IPSSA. Robert is in General Education at Cuesta College hoping
to study Sports Management or Physical Education.

Robert Tuttle of Dunedin, Florida is working for
a Masters of Public Administration at Keller Graduate School at DeVry.
He is a CPO instructor for NSPI and a Red Cross trainer. He is validated
by a Colorado Springs branch of NSPI.

Rachelle Pakes is a 1998 recipient of a Muto Scholarship.
Her parents have a So. Tahoe Pool Store and are members of APSP.
Rachelle graduated at UCLA in 2000 with a degree in Sociology. She
wants to pursue a trade school course in Yoga teacher training as
she is involved in massage therapy.
