Muto Scholarship Foundation Announces 1999 Scholarship Winners

Northridge, CA ... The Guy and Gloria Muto Memorial Scholarship Foundation,
Inc. is proud to announce the 1999 Scholarship Award Winners. A total of
seven scholarships were awarded by the foundation this year. A $1,000
scholarship was awarded to Stacey Yomogida, of Roseville, CA, whose dad,
Mark, is employed
by General Pool and Spa Supply in Rancho Cordova, CA. Stacey has decided
to pursue a degree at University of the Pacific, majoring in Sports Medicine.
Stacey's application was certified by The National Spa and Pool Institute
in Alexandria, VA.
An $800.00
Scholarship was awarded to Jacqueline Baker of Pleasanton,
CA whose dad; Robert is a member of the Tri-Valley Chapter of the Independent
Pool and Spa Service Association, in San Ramon, CA. Jacqueline is pursuing
a degree in Interior Design at Marymount College.
A scholarship
of $600.00 was awarded to Breanna Cabeceiras, of Modesto,
CA who plans on attending California State University at Stanislaus
this fall and
work toward a BS in Biological Sciences. Breanna's father is a member
of the Modesto Chapter of IPSSA.
Four additional
scholarships of $400.00 each were awarded to the following winners:
Linda Coskran of Valencia, CA, whose husband is a member of the Santa Clarita Valley
Chapter of IPSSA, plans on attending the College of the Canyons majoring
in Nursing.
Keith Flores of Bakersfield, CA whose dad is a member of the Bakersfield Chapter
of IPSSA is planning on attending UC Berkeley majoring in BioChemistry.
Kellyn
Carlson of University Place, WA whose dad Erik is the immediate past
National President of NSPI is planning to attend either Loyola Marymount
University or Cal State Long Beach majoring in Business Management.
Michael
Lasher of Placentia, CA, who is currently the Executive Director of
the Orange County Chapter of NSPI, will attend a course at the U. S.
Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management.
The Foundation
congratulates these students and wishes them the best in their educational
endeavors. The Guy and Gloria Muto Memorial Scholarship Foundation
accepts applications from members of the pool and spa industry each
